EXECUTIVE CHEF

ODELL TORRES

In 2013, Chef Odell started at Larios on the Beach and was soon named Executive Chef for all of Estefan Kitchen restaurants (Larios on the Beach, Bongos Cuban Café, Estefan Kitchen and Estefan Kitchen Express).

“We take Cuban dishes and modernize them,” Chef Odell said. “Everything is handmade and that makes a big difference.” His farm (and sea) to table approach has helped the brand evolve. He has a true respect for the flavors of the ingredients; always using the freshest and best quality available.

With Chef Odell at the helm of the kitchen, he created the winning signature croquette at Croquetapaloozo in 2015. In 2016, he was named the winning chef at Lee Schrager’s America’s Best Breakfast and Brunch competition.

Born in Havana, Cuba, Chef Odell’s culinary interest started at a very young age cooking the traditional roasted pork for special occasions with his family in Cuba. He enjoyed the whole cooking process, leading him to culinary school. He trained professionally under French chef, Patrick Nerot at the top French restaurant in Cuba.
